Posting Photos

A quick lesson in posting photos. I have noticed that some of our members "My Page" loads slower than others. An easy cure for this is to make sure your photos are optimized for the web. In otherwords, reduced file size and the proper format. A"jpg" or "png" are the best. I use jpg for my photos and png for my logos, drawings etc... You can post large photos but thats where the speed comes in to play. If you have access to a program like Adobe Photoshop or most any photo editor can optimize

PHOTO HELP

I SEEM TO BE MISSING A PHOTO, ERASED BY ACCIDENT AND SOMEONE OUT THERE MAY HAVE A COPY. PJD CREATIONS, IT WAS A LARGE FIREPLACE NICHE ON TOP OF A MANTLE. WE ACTUALLY HAD ONE OF OUR WORKERS PAINTING IT AT THE TIME. HE HAD LONG HAIR (ERIC). IF ANYONE KNOW'S WHICH ONE AND CAN SEND ME A COPY. WE HAVE A LIEN AGAINST THAT CLIENT FOR NON-PAYMENT AND I NEED THE PHOTO FOR COURT.

1 Year Anniversary!

June marks our 1st anniversary for the Concrete Artists Network. We have seen a lot of changes to our network and our lives. We lost a great member, Wayne Sellon, we gained a huge amount of interest in our craft and met alot of really great people. Online webinar success!

After attending several of these online webinars it has got me thinking. Vertical concrete in it's self has definately come a long way in the ten or so years that I have been involved. Even though we are just getting our feet wet with thes "live discussions" I can see a definate trend towards learning, teaching and just getting the public to better understand what we as concrete artists do. Outdoor Kitchens are very useful for the homeowner. They can be used to entertain guests but mainly used for families. Jobs are out there. You just have to learn to do all the different kinds of trades to compete today.

If you are a small business with only a couple employees. Learn to do all your own masonry work along with building all the pretty stuff. My profits are high due to low labor and not giving away all the easy jobs to the other contractors. Learn electric. It can save you time and $. Who is Jeff Datin?

My name is Jeff Datin, born and raised in SoCal. After I moved with my family to Riverside, Ca., I started racing off road. First it was Honda Odysseys then 3-wheelers then Quads that I still race and ride to this day.
